“The heart, designed by our very own Francesca, represents that this project is intended to bring public art to the heart of our community. The building is School Green Centre which will be the backdrop for the successful artwork and is also very much at the heart of community life.

The blues and greens of the background reflect the romantic interpretation of where the name Shinfield comes from:

The Shining Fields when the River Loddon floods (for artists, this should not be taken as a requirement to include water in your proposal).

We are however looking for individuality to come through and this is represented by fingerprint pattern reflecting the individuality of all our 19,500+ residents and also that of the successful artist.”
